Endurance sets sail from Plymouth, England, bound for Buenos Aires, Argentina. Shackleton and Ernest Wild remain behind to attend to financial matters, including Shackleton’s brief involvement in a court case relating to his brother. They would reach Buenos Aires by another, faster ship, El Uruguay.
