Endurance anchors in Madeira, Portugal. Captain Frank Worsley and Thomas Orde-Lees stay with Mr. E Blandy at Palheiro.
In the afternoon, the SS Hochfeld anchors too close to Endurance. At 10 p.m. it hits Endurance, causing damage to the jibboom.
Vincent, McCarthy, O. Barr, and J. Irving, apparently drunk, start a small riot in a café.
